The repetition in this work serves a fundamental purpose. Overcoming unhappiness and the attainment of satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana is a repetitious process. And repeating this process and the repetition in this work facilitates overcoming unhappiness. Its purpose is to make easier and more convenient the process of overcoming unhappiness. It is to make overcoming unhappiness accessible. This work is a paradox. In a way it is repetitive and in a way it is not. The form and style in which this work is written is repetitive. Yet if one looks carefully one will see each sentence has different words and different meanings. And the meaning of each sentence one must ascertain one's self. No sentence is repeated twice. A sentence or paragraph is written in a style which repeats the main body of a sentence, but if one is aware one will see the different words and the different meaning of each sentence. This work has been accused of being tautological. What is the meaning of tautological? It is the unnecessary repetition of the same ideas in different words. Are the same ideas expressed in different words? Yes. There are many of the same ideas expressed in different words. Tautology is the unnecessary repetition of the same ideas in different words. Is the repetition of the same ideas in different words necessary? To answer this question one must ask another question. What is the purpose of this work? The purpose of this work is to aid, help and guide others in their effort to overcome unhappiness. Is the repetition in this work necessary in relationship to the purpose of overcoming unhappiness? Yes. The purpose of the work is one with the repetition. The repetition of the style and the same ideas expressed in different words is an aid, help and a tool used in the effort to overcome unhappiness. Therefore, this form of repetition is necessary. Thus, by the dictionary definition this work is different from tautology. For tautology is unnecessary repetition of the same ideas in different words. This use of repetition is necessary and essential to the process of overcoming unhappiness and attaining satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana. Others have stated how this style of writing is tiresome and boring to read. The boredom and tiresome feelings one has reading this work is common to all works one might read in which one lacks knowledge. One's very lack of knowledge of a work makes it tiresome and boring. Why is this work boring and tiresome for some to read.? People say this work is tiresome because they think it has nothing to say. The truth is just the opposite. People get tired reading this work because it says more than one can take in at once. It tends to overload the mind with knowledge it has never heard or read before. This is a high energy work and the reader is in a state of low energy. Thus, when one reads this work it short circuits the mind and one feels tired because of an overload. When one reads this work the thoughts are moving slow in understanding what is written. And the train of thought of this work is more complex than one is able to understand in one reading. Thus, one quickly becomes tired trying to understand the complex train of thought of this work. Is there an answer to this problem? Yes. The answer is to pace one's self, set a rhythm, go slow and realize that overcoming unhappiness and attaining satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana is a process that occurs over a long period of time. It is impossible for one to keep up with the process of this work if one tries to overcome unhappiness in one reading. And it is impossible for one to attain the goals and complete the process of this work in one reading. One will arrive at the same goal if one paces one's self. Why go fast? Go slow. One will achieve overcoming unhappiness. It will simply take time. If one feels tired and bored while reading this work put it down and try to get back to it later when the weariness subsides. The feeling of tiredness and boredom is actually a feeling of depression which comes from the readers state of unhappiness. One's very unhappiness causes the feelings of boredom, depression and tiredness. This work is the opposite. It is awakefulness, mindfulness, high energy and knowledge. The depression actually comes from the reader. The work is seen as the cause, but one's own depression is the cause. Overcoming unhappiness is a learning process. And as an adult one has forgotten how repetitious, tedious and boring a learning process can be. The very goal of overcoming unhappiness is to lose one's boredom, tiredness and depression. This work brings out depression so that it is felt consciously, but it is already there hiding. |
