Teaching one's self is a means by which unhappiness is overcome and satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana attained. Teaching one's self is the only way one truly learns. One must teach one's self all things. And one must teach one's self to learn. One teaches one's self through the desire to learn. And one teaches one's self through acting on that desire by making efforts to gain knowledge. To overcome unhappiness what must one learn? One must teach one's self knowledge of unhappiness, knowledge of satisfaction, knowledge of happiness, knowledge of nirvana, knowledge of parinirvana and knowledge of the self. |
