Practice provides the necessary repetition in one's efforts to overcome unhappiness. Practice provides the necessary repetition of one's effort in one's chosen path. And practice provides the necessary repetition in one's spiritual discipline. No matter how one has chosen to overcome unhappiness, one must practice one's chosen discipline. One must practice repetition of one's chosen discipline. Through repetition and practice in overcoming unhappiness one gains skill in overcoming unhappiness.
