Overcoming Unhappiness through Forgiveness
by Mark Zimmerman

Forgiveness is a means by which unhappiness is overcome and satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana attained.

How is forgiveness a means by which unhappiness is overcome?

Through anger one feels and believes that others cause one's unhappiness.

And through anger one feels and believes that others will make one happy.

In truth one's self is the cause of unhappiness, and only one's self can make one happy.

Through forgiveness one ceases to feel and believe that others cause one's own unhappiness, and one realizes that it is one's self that causes unhappiness.

And through forgiveness one realizes that it is through the self that one attains satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana.

Through forgiveness one takes responsibility for unhappiness by realizing that it is through self effort that unhappiness is overcome and satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana attained.

And through the realization that forgiveness is, one takes responsibility for unhappiness by making the effort to overcome unhappiness and attain satisfaction, happiness, nirvana and parinirvana.
